Stars are made when
a person achieves extraordinary success in his/her career.
When you think of
Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan or even Kareena Kapoor, they’ve touched
dizzying heights of fame and popularity owing, primarily, to their unflinching
dedication to their work. No one will be able to accuse them of taking a
shortcut to where they stand today.
Poonam Pandey,
better known as the girl who promised to strip if India reached the finals, is
someone who exists because of this shortcut.
She is neither
breathtakingly beautiful (which explains the "Poonam Pandey is ugly"
Google result) nor is at the top of her profession. Then what is it that makes
her so attractive to the masses?
She obviously does
not believe in the 'less is more' theory which explains her penchant for
shedding clothes. While her strip-fest and ‘bathroom secrets” will continue to
bring her all the attention, she will never have the kind of impact that mega
stars have on their viewers.
